Release Notes - 2026-OCT-21

Hyperproof release notes

Note: These features, updates, and addressed issues are released first in Hyperproof US and Hyperproof EU on the date noted in the title. They are released in Hyperproof Gov one week later unless otherwise noted.

Added / Improved

Tasks tab

Tasks now have a dedicated tab on Hyperproof objects. For example, a new Tasks tab appears when you open an individual control.

  • Open an object's details page to see the new Tasks tab.

  • From the Tasks tab, you can bulk edit and export the object's tasks directly.

Repeating tasks - Export and bulk import

  • Under Work items > Repeating tasks, you can export repeating tasks to a CSV or XLSX file.

  • Edit the exported file and re-import it to update multiple repeating tasks at once, or add rows to create new repeating tasks. Each exported record includes an index field to match it back to an existing repeating task, allowing edits to be applied to the correct record.

Navigation improvements

The in-page "breadcrumbs" that display the current location and support efficient navigation have been updated in several places where they were missing or incorrect, including:

  • Links tabs: Control, Label, Asset register, Asset, People register, Person

  • Audit Controls tab (Auditor Testing feature) and Evaluations tab (evaluation-type Audits)

  • Access review Links, Proof, and Tasks tabs (tab crumb missing)

  • Policy Document tab and a version under it (tab crumb missing)

  • Work items tabs; Vendors tabs; Task detail page

  • Settings sections and sub-tabs; Risk surveys list; Workflow detail and history

Activity feed

When editing a comment in the activity feed, you can press the Esc key to cancel the edit and discard the changes. Pressing Esc closes the editor and keeps the comment's original text. Note that if the @mention list is open, Esc closes the list but does not discard any changes to the comment. You must press Esc again.

Hypersyncs and integrations

  • Updated! Hypersync for AWS: Enabled using saved named groups of AWS Accounts for filtering when setting up the Hypersync for AWS.

  • Updated! Hypersync for GitHub Pull Requests proof type: You can now request proof for Pull Requests across the entire organization instead of collecting it for each repository individually. This provides a consolidated view of change management compliance in GitHub.

Addressed issues

  • Fixed an issue where sometimes 2 external tickets were created from a repeating task with an integration configured. (Case # 00012806, 00012807, 00012808)

  • Fixed an issue with permissions where a compliance manager could only create an assessment from a previous assessment if they were also a manager on the source assessment's program. Now, the user's permissions on the program are ignored, but the user must be a manager on the previous assessment to use it as a basis for creating a new assessment. (Case # 00012444)

  • Fixed an issue in the Controls module where updating freshness settings on a control failed if duplicate control records with identical identifiers existed. (Case # 00012580)

  • Fixed an issue in the Policies module where the Draft status column in the Policies grid remained set to "Approval" instead of "Approved" after all sequential approval steps were completed. (Case # 00012681)

  • Fixed an issue in Connected Accounts where non-owner organization admins were given the option to update credentials for task integration connections owned by another user. This option no longer displays. (Case # 00012622)

  • Fixed an issue in the Risk Assessment module where entering a duplicate Risk ID during a risk evaluation caused the page to display continuous loading indicators without showing a duplicate ID validation message. (Case # 00012675)

  • Fixed an issue in Custom Fields where creating a required multi-select custom field for requests resulted in a backend timeout error. (Case # 00012707)

  • Fixed an issue in the Policies module where users with Contributor roles could transition policy version stages from the Policy Overview page. (Case # 00012728)

  • Fixed an issue in Hypersync for Jira List of Issues proof type where Excel proof previews failed to generate when date fields contained empty or unexpected values. (Case # 00012643, 00012890)

  • Fixed an issue in the Overview module where the Programs widget displayed inaccurate status indicators when filtering by scope. (Case # 00012631)

  • Fixed an issue in the Programs module where saving SSP report text on NIST 800-171 Rev 3 requirements failed with a server error when requirements contained null data entries. (Case # 00012736)

  • Fixed an issue where updating interval-based freshness schedules could result in stale expiration dates, outdated preview dates, or improper status resets across controls and scope assignments. (Case # 00012884)

  • Fixed an issue in Questionnaires where changing a gating answer to hide a dependent question retained the prior stale response and satisfied mandatory field requirements. This allowed the questionnaire to be submitted with an answer that could no longer be seen or edited. (Case # 00012785)

  • Fixed an issue in Questionnaires where selecting "NA" on a gating question prevented questionnaire submission due to required-field validation on hidden gated questions that were no longer necessary due to the "NA" response. (Case # 00012785)

  • Fixed an issue in the Tasks module where importing tasks using a CSV file that omitted the Description column erased existing task descriptions. (Case # 00012791)

  • Fixed an issue in SCIM user provisioning where deactivation requests received during maintenance windows returned an incorrect response code, preventing identity providers from retrying the request. (Case # 00012789)

  • Fixed an issue in task integrations for Jira Cloud where syncing large task attachments caused errors during task synchronization. (Case # 00012796)

  • Fixed an issue in the Policies module where selecting the option to sync latest source changes before making a policy document effective failed to display the confirmation dialog properly and did not sync document updates. (Case # 00012813)

  • Fixed an issue where changing a repeating task's target caused previously generated completed tasks to be hidden from the Tasks tab on the repeating task. (Case # 00012823)

  • Fixed an issue with repeating tasks where updating a trigger didn't update the trigger details in the user interface until the browser was refreshed. (Case # 00012832)

  • Fixed an issue where opening a task from a repeating task's Tasks tab failed to display the linked external integration ticket. (Case # 00012794)

  • Fixed an issue where errors were generated in the Risk Register and Overview pages for organizations that changed from scopes to hierarchical scopes without going through the correct migration process. (Case # 00012836)

  • .. plus other fit and finish, performance, stability, and security issues — as always!
